I am a Professor in the English Studies Department of the University of Barcelona. My research interests include second and foreign language acquisition, age and individual differences in second language learning, young learners, and multilingualism.

I am currently involved in a research project within the language acquisition research group (GRAL) that examines the EFL learning potential of in- and out-of-school exposure, with a focus on undubbed videos.   

I received the ICREA Award in 2010 and the Eurosla Distinguished Scholar Award in 2016.
